ECMT permits will not be required for most purposes.
The European Parliament yesterday agreed a new law meaning UK operators will be able to carry out road haulage in the EU without a permit, until the end of 2019, even if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
The new law is set to be confirmed next week, meaning ECMT permits will only be needed for operators wishing to travel through the EU to non-EU countries such as Switzerland or Ukraine
